am Michael J. Franz and have been a
pilot/aviator since 1967.
Background:
-
Learned to fly helicopters as a Commissioned
Officer in the United States Army, served as
a Rotary Wing Aviator.

1969 - Primary military instructor, FAA
Commercial Rotorcraft Helicopter.
-
1970 - Commercial Airplane, Single & Multi
Engine Land, Instrument and Flight
Instructor Privileges.
-
1971 - Advanced Ground Instructor
-
1982 - first Robinson R22 helicopter factory
trained CFI in Florida.
-
2009 - CFI Rotorcraft Helicopter and CFI
Sport Airplane Certificates.
-
First Class Medical Certificate.
Experience:
-
7,000+ hours of day VFR cross country flight
time with experience from St. Thomas, V.I.
to Anchorage, Alaska and from NE Canada to
San Diego, California.
-
Developed Part 135/119 Flight Operations to
include the writing of manuals both GOM &
Training and served as Director of
Operations, Chief Pilot and Company
Instructor.
-
Attended many factory pilot transition and
recurrent courses in numerous models of
aircraft.
-
Completed various Manufacturer’s Maintenance
courses including the Rotax 912 Engine
Service Course and Bell 407 Field
Maintenance.
